About Birmingham Mavericks CC

BMCC is a Sunday club built around competitive cricket, strong team spirit and a friendly environment for players and families across the West Midlands.

Based at Old Halesonians Cricket Club, we compete in the West Midlands Sunday Border League and play a mix of league and friendly fixtures from April to September, plus weekday T20s. Our squad includes a blend of experienced club cricketers and developing players.

We care about preparation, discipline and respect for the game – but we also want Sundays to be enjoyable: good cricket, good company, and a club people want to stick with long term.

Join the Mavericks

We’re actively looking for committed players for the West Midlands Sunday Border League season and weekday T20 fixtures.

  • Who we’re looking for: Adult players (18+). Batters, bowlers, all-rounders and keepers – any standard, as long as you’re serious about turning up and improving.
  • Match fees & subs: Standard Sunday match fees plus an annual subscription to cover league costs, ground hire, balls and equipment.
  • Availability: Ideally most Sundays across the season, plus T20s where possible. Occasional-only players are considered but won’t be guaranteed selection.
  • Process: Send an enquiry via the form or Instagram, we’ll invite you to nets or a friendly, then add you into the squad group if it’s a good fit.
Your details will be emailed to the club committee – we’ll usually respond within a few days.
